Raymond Alma Walters
Raymond Alma Walters, age 79, passed away October 22, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
He was born December 5, 1911 in Murray, Utah to Joseph Carlisle and Hazel Nell Young Walters. Married Mildred Anderson May 12, 1938; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was retired from the Garrett Freight Lines. Member of the Teamsters Union Local #222. An avid sportsman, he loved fishing and hunting.
Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; son, Kent Raymond Walters, Salt Lake City. He was like a father to many. He loved his three grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, and Colton, all West Valley; one sister, Mrs. Guy (Pearl) Terrell, Delta; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., Cannon 7th Ward, 934 West Freemont Avenue. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
